By request, we have a Soup and Casserole Menu for families who
prefer to order larger quantities (which is also more economical)
either every two weeks, every 3 weeks, or monthly.  The soups are
great for lunchs, brown bags, and quick suppers.  Most of the
casseroles are kid-friendly.  Some of the menu items can be
adapted to fit the various eating programs but, as listed, they are
homestyle.

For only $ 195, Marjorie’s will prepare 8 servings each of 3 items
from the Soup and Casserole Menu ($ 240 for 4 choices).  It might
be hard to find takeout at this price and it certainly wouldn’t be
healthy soups and casseroles made with fresh ingredients with no
additives or preservatives.  Soups and casseroles freeze nicely, so
you can enjoy homestyle cooking whenever the mood hits.  
(Packaging is family style.  Soup and casserole items are delivered
at a previously agreed-upon time.)
Chicken Noodle Soup -- Just like Grandma used to make. Lean pieces of tender white
meat chicken, fine-diced carrots and celery, and noodles in a rich chicken broth.  

Vegetable Beef Soup -- Lots of fresh veggies -- finely diced tomatoes, celery, carrots,
corn, green beans, and peas-- with chunks of lean beef in a homemade beef broth.

Thai Shrimp Soup -- If you like Thai food, you'll love this soup. Shrimp, green beans,
and fresh basil in a broth flavored with red curry and coconut milk.  Can be made a bit
spicy, if desired.

Lentil and Brown Rice Soup -- Red lentils and brown rice with assorted vegetables and
Italian seasonings make a soup perfect for lunch or light suppers.

Gypsy Soup -- Garbanzo beans and sweet potatoes pureed in a turmeric, basil, and
garlic-scented beef stock or vegetable stock.   Creamy smooth with just the right amount
of flavor.

Italian Garbanzo and Pasta Soup -- Garbanzo beans, pasta, carrots, and celery in a
chicken broth with fresh herbs.

Black Bean Soup w/ Cumin --A pureed black bean and vegetable soup with a smoky,
but not spicy accent.

Cream of Broccoli Soup -- Smooth and extra creamy, served with a dollop of sour
cream or crème fraiche.

Curried Lentil Soup -- Not hot and spicy, but strongly flavored. Lentils and vegetables
with lots of curry.

Italian Lentil Soup -- Lentils, carrots, celery, and cabbage in a tomato-based broth with
Italian spices.

Lentil and Macaroni Soup -- As tasty as it is beautiful. A blend of lentils, pasta, fresh
spinach, tomatoes, carrots, and basil in a vegetable broth.

Vegetable Orzo Soup -- Peas, carrots, corn, navy and lima beans in a rich chicken broth
flavored with balsamic vinegar and studded with orzo.

Peasant Vegetable Soup -- Peas, carrots, celery, onions, and potatoes simmered with dill
and parsley for a simple, traditional soup.

My Favorite Lentil Soup -- Lentils, carrots, tomatoes, and spices in a chicken stock - but
a little hint of wine makes this one a favorite.

Minestrone -- A classic. Red and white beans, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, basil, fresh
parsley, and pasta in a tomato-y stock.

Chili w/ Cocoa --Ground sirloin with dark red beans in a light tomato sauce. The cocoa
gives it a rich undertone.  Request yours mild, medium, or hot.

Split Pea and Lentil Soup -- Another home-style favorite. Lentils, split peas, carrots,
celery, diced red pepper, and onion in a rich chicken broth accented with cumin.

White Chicken Chili -- Chunks of chicken, white beans, and green chilies in a mild sauce.

Pureed Peanut Butter and Vegetable Soup -- Sounds strange but it is delicious.  Kids of
all ages love this soup.

Parker’s Split Pea Soup -- One of my very picky clients, an 8-yr old, calls this Yum!
Soup.

Elegant Beef Casserole -- Beef Sirloin, mushrooms, sour cream, wide noodles all brought
together with a mixture of seasonings.

Rigatoni -- Roast beef, pasta, baked in an enchilada-based sauce.

Mexican Casserole -- Ground Sirloin, Bite-Sized Spaghetti, and a picante sauce laced with
peppers, topped with Cheddar cheese.

Chicken, Rice, and Cheese Casserole -- A family favorite. Boneless chicken, cheese, and
rice baked in chicken broth

Cheesy Rotini -- Rotini pasta in marinara sauce with ground beef or turkey and fresh green
peppers, topped with mild or sharp cheddar cheese.

Chicken Cacciatore Casserole -- Chicken cacciatore without the bones. Boneless chicken,
green pepper, and pasta in a chunky tomato sauce topped with mozzarella

3 cheese+ Macaroni -- Macaroni & Cheese for Grown-ups.  Fontina, Gruyere,
Emmenthaler cheeses w/ sherry.  Topped with bread crumbs and parmesan.

Shrimp Creole Casserole -- Shrimp and rice baked in a chunky tomato sauce with green
peppers and garlic.

Cassoulet -- A hearty mixture of navy beans, turkey sausage or real sausage, wine, and
seasonings.

Lentil Cassoulet -- A meatless alternative to traditional cassoulet, this savory casserole
contains lentils, tomatoes, carrots, celery, and spices slow-cooked in a rich broth

Shrimp and Noodle Bake -- Egg noodles in a white sauce with shrimp, topped with
parmesan cheese and french fried onions.

Chicken and Noodle Bake -- The same, with chicken instead of shrimp.

Baked Spaghetti -- The traditional favorite in casserole form. Spaghetti in a creamy ricotta
cheese sauce topped with mozzarella and marinara sauce.

Couscous Casserole -- A spicy, satisfying blend of couscous, black beans, water chestnuts,
corn, red peppers, onions, and jalapenos flavored with cumin and balsamic vinegar.

Mexican Pasta Bake -- If you like cheese, this is your kind of casserole.  Bowtie pasta
baked in a three-cheese sauce with onions, red pepper, black olives, and Mexican spices.
