| Salmon Cakes w/ Remoulade Sauce and Garlic Green Beans Chunks of salmon filet and spices gently molded and sauteed, served with a remoulade sauce and steamed green beans tossed with garlic ~~ Sweet and Sour Pork with Rice - White Meat Pork, Green and Red Bell Peppers, Pineapple, and Onions, in a just-right sweet and sour sauce to serve over rice. ~~ Hungarian Goulash - Ground Sirloin and Pasta in a barely there Home-made Tomato Sauce with Thyme and other spices. ~~ Turkey and Dressing - Just like Thanksgiving. Features Marjorie's Bread Stuffing. ~~ Chicken and Dumplings - Mom's Chicken and Dumplings were outrageously good. White meat chicken and home-made dumplings in a thickened chicken broth with peas. ~~ Pork Roast and Sauerkraut with Mashed Potates - This was the annual New Year's Day Menu in Marjorie's home kitchen. ~~ Breaded Pork Chops - Hand-trimmed Pork Loin, breaded and sauteed, then finished in the oven, with your choice of vegetable or pasta ~~ Steaks with Basil-baked potatoes - NY Strip Steaks and potatoes roasted with olive oil and fresh basil. ~~ Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes - The Classic Meatloaf - but made with ground sirloin - and served with creamy, fluffy mashed potatoes. ~~ Fish Sticks and Chips - Well, Mom used Mrs. Paul's for her fish sticks (fresh fish was hard to come by in Ohio back then.) We prefer to make our own breaded fish; but our chips are just like Mom's! ~~ Stuffed Peppers - Ground sirloin and brown rice in a light tomato sauce with a surprisingly good mixture of minced vegetables. ~~ |
